Over the last weekend, the NBA world witnessed their favorite stars in a more relaxed and fun mindset. After four months of rigorous toil on the court, the players have a week to themselves to take their minds off the pressure. And they did so in the glamorous and fun-filled fashion of the All-Star weekend. While some participated in the events, the rest opted to stay away from it all.

However, days later, the players have to hit the floor running from the break as they are only weeks away from playoffs. So let’s find out when the players return to the NBA regular season to get the business up and running.

The All-Star break began last Friday with exciting contests for the rookies and sophomores. The Rising Stars tournament took place as the curtain-raiser event, setting up the stage for the mega events planned for the next two days. Promising talents like Victor Wembanyama, Brandin Podziemski, and Bennedict Mathurin took center stage in the mini-tournament. Notably, Mac McClung, an NBA G-League player, also showcased his talent alongside the NBA’s rising stars.

And, finally, the mega event, the All-Star game, marked the end of the exciting 3-day All-Star weekend. The nature of this event has changed over the years, from a competitive event to a friendly contest. After the ASG, the players have a three-day break and return to the court on Thursday night to kick-start the NBA regular season.

The last phase of the NBA regular season

On Thursday, the regular season opens up with a jam-packed schedule. The league has planned out 12 games on the opening day. Importantly, one of the games has a hidden gem. Yes, the grand battle, Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors.

The last time these two teams faced off, the game went into a double overtime thriller, and it would be the perfect way to restart the season. Other than that, the teams will have the requirement to win the maximum games in this stretch to seal their spot in the playoff. The regular season ends on April 14, until then it’s only high-octane action.
