If you have seen the old pictures of Ripley, then you know how she looked, a typical white girl with long blonde hair. In an interview with The National, she stated that when she arrived in America at the age of 20; she was a scared and shy girl. “I moved to America when I was 20, I was very shy and very scared. When I got shy or I didn’t feel comfortable, I would hide behind my hair,” she said.
