Any working individual is familiar with the grim truth of taxes being due. Gauff is aware of it and pays whatever she owes to the Internal Revenue Service. However, she was made aware of the amount recently and does not enjoy it one bit.

“I’ve always been aware that I had to pay taxes even when I was a minor but I guess now I’m more aware of how much money is going to the government, and it’s a lot, so I would say that part, being aware of it, is something I’m not enjoying,” Gauff tells The National with a laugh she sat down with them at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships on Monday.

Coco Gauff is not alone in disliking a large amount of her pay being cut for taxes, but unlike her, some choose the easy way to evade them.
