On tonight’s edition of RAW, Gunther managed to retain the Intercontinental Championship after defeating Jey Uso in Anaheim, California. And for this, he’ll have to thank none other than Jey Uso’s elder brother Jimmy Uso.

The elder twin took Jey Uso’s feud with the Bloodline further as he cost his brother the match and built a storyline that we may witness turn into a match at WrestleMania.

Tonight’s main event saw Jey Uso being completely dominated in the beginning. But he managed to recover with greater agility. A failed attempt at a Frog Splash led to a Samoan Drop toward the commentary table leveling the score once again. The two men stood their ground in an exchange of blows to the face. A run of Spears in and out of the ring seemed to give Jey Uso the victory, but a distraction from Jimmy Uso threw the challenger off balance. After applying a Frog Splash to his brother, Jey Uso came back to the ring only to be defeated by the recovered Ring General.

In doing so, Gunther retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship in his twenty-first official defense. But fans want the storyline between the twins to build further. So much so that they want the two to square off in the Showcase of the Immortals.

Fans want Jey Uso to finish his story

Jey Uso, who left the Bloodline after the whole Sami Zayn scenario, was predicted to be a target sooner or later. But no one expected the feud to lead to the two twins and former tag team champions fighting. And now, there’s only one event to settle it all, WrestleMania. And that is what the fans want. Here are some reactions saying the same:

Well, you cannot say no one saw this coming as this Twitter user sure did.

But that would be a last-minute decision, as the interference loss wasn’t actually in the plans. What do you think? Will we get to see the two face off at the grandest stage of them all?
