Ahead of the Olympics, while Thobois has a looming cloud of darkness over his head, he is not letting it hamper the build-up to the games. In fact, Thobois has promised that the Paris Olympics would serve as “exemplary” in terms of anti-corruption measures. Further reflecting on the ongoing situation, the Paris Olympics CEO stated,Then it is normal [that] we’re very much controlled. We have all kinds of control in various areas, and it’s a good thing. So it’s part of an inquiry. I cannot tell you more because I don’t know more.”

Sounding confident enough, Thobois stated that the security at the 2024 Olympics would be top-notch and something unheard of till now. As per his claims, “no stones have been left unturned” when it comes to security. Throwing caution to the winds, Tony Estanguet, the Paris Olympic Committee President for the year stated that the image of the entire nation was at stake and they could not afford a single slip-up.
