According to the UFC commentator, Strickland should have refrained from sparring with Sneako. However, if Strickland had to fight him, he would have appreciated had he not gone aggressive. On his podcast, Rogan said, “He beat up that kid who’s a smaller than him streamer named Sneako which is not a good look.” He adds, “Yeah, it’s I just don’t know why he wanted to do that.”

Moreover, he makes an interesting observation. He recalls the fact that Strickland had a sparring session with Alex Pereira and he was not as aggressive with him as he was with Seako. After all, Strickland was knocked out by Pereira in their bout and the light-heavyweight champion is a formidable fighter, unlike Sneako. In the same podcast, he said, “When he lost to Alex Pereira, one of the first things he did was go to Connecticut to go over to Teixeira’s gym where Alex trains and trains with him. When he was training with Alex Pereira, he was light sparring.”

It appears that Rogan is hinting at the fact that Strickland played dirty and took advantage of Sneako not being a professional fighter. Ultimately, Rogan added, “Because you can’t, that guy’s not Sneako. You can’t just, that guy already knocked you out.”
Joe Rogan’s observations are quite coherent and poke holes and Strickland’s behaviour. However, it bears mention that he did not just make comparisons with Pereira but also with another former middleweight champion and his rival, Israel Adesanya.
Rogan draws comparisons between Strickland and Adesnaya
It is not seldom to see UFC fighters have fun with other influencers over a spar. However, more often than not, these MMA fighters are well aware of their skill set and do not hurt anybody. Rogan cites the example of Adesanya sparring with fans but not hurting them. He does that to advance the claim that Strickland should have done the same but did not do so because of his, “man code.”

Reflecting along these lines, in the same podcast, he said, “If you agree to do that with Israel Adesanya, Israel Adesanya will take care of you. I swear to God, he’ll pop you a little bit and let you know that you’re helpless, but he won’t f*ck you up.”
