Ever since the TKO merger, the WWE Universe has been waiting for superstars from the WWE and UFC to crossover. And while we saw that happen recently at UFC 298 as Bianca Belair, Montez Ford, and CM Punk attended the event, no one expected to see a UFC star tonight on Raw.

But that just happened. UFC veteran Michael Chandler was a part of tonight’s RAW as he called out Conor McGregor to WWE in a short promo from the ringside. But do you know that Brock Lesnar once insulted The Notorious when the interviewer asked about the UFC legend being a part of WWE? Intrigued? Let’s dive deeper and find out what he had to share.

Sam Roberts interviewed Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman back in 2016 during the promotions of WWE 2K17. With Conor McGregor’s controversial statements about Lesnar in mind, the company’s former Undisputed Champion took the opportunity to respond to the UFC fighter when he was asked if he would like to face the Notorious in the ring. He said, “I take sh*ts bigger than that kid. I know you guys all play f*cking video games and you live this f*cking false sense of reality and sh*t. I’m 200-and-f*cking-90 pounds. This guy is 145 pounds; that’s if he’s lucky and gets up and eats his f*cking Wheaties.”

Of course, Lesnar wasn’t entirely accurate. While McGregor did hold the featherweight title back then, he was gearing up to face Nate Diaz in the Welterweight division. So that’d make him about 170 pounds. But it still wouldn’t make much of a difference, right? Whereas when it comes to McGregor, he did cross the line first when he called the Beast “Juiced up”.

Well, the trash-talking between the two legends started when Conor McGregor accused Brock Lesnar of being “juiced up to the f*cking eyeballs.” This was in reference to the two drug tests in which Lesnar failed ahead of UFC 200 and tested positive for using performance-enhancing drugs. The Beast was making his return after a five-year absence from the Octagon as he fought and beat Mark Hunt in a much-anticipated heavyweight bout.
And while the UFC would’ve taken action on it, according to the Notorious, the WWE won’t punish Brock Lesnar for his failed drug tests. Lesnar denied the accusations, and that is what led him to call out McGregor in such a way. And while the Notorious may finally make his appearance in the WWE, him facing Lesnar seems like a pipe dream.
