Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor have been speculated to face one another for a substantial period. However, their bout has not been made official yet. Many fans and MMA pundits have lost hope in this fight ever happening, except Chandler.

In a recent turn of events, Chandler ventured over to WWE Raw and called out the Irishman in spectacular fashion. However, the fans were not impressed and called him out for it. So without further ado, let’s unwrap this new development.

Michael Chandler stands his ground, fails to find fan support

Michael Chandler last fought in the year 2022 and since then he has been waiting for McGregor to make a return. However, the fans are losing their patience because they want him to move on to compete against someone else. Not to mention, this recent call-out only adds fuel to the fire.

At the latest Monday night Raw, he said, “There’s a man from Ireland that’s been making me wait for too long, and I’ve still got one dude on my mind. Conor McGregor, get your candy a*s back to the octagon! We have got some unfinished business, boys! God bless, I’ll see you at the top.”

One fan was curious to know how Chandler was making a living since it has been more than a year since his last bout. He said, “⁠How is Chandler making any income?”

Moreover, one fan recalled the comment made by McGregor on X in which he said, “Yacht has gym”

On similar lines, one fan thought Chandler was not making a wise move waiting out for McGregor. He said, “⁠I think Conor lost all interest in this fight during or right after TUF. He’d much rather do the Nate trilogy at this point. Chandler has been missing out on fights waiting, and he’s waiting still. Clock ticking for this man.”

Whereas one fan thought this fight was not worth the hype and attention it was getting, he said, “⁠All this for the most boring fight you’ve ever watched + split decision”

Another fan thought this fight was not going to happen. He said, “No way he thinks this will ever really happen right?”

On similar lines, another made jokes about Chandler’s behavior. The fan said, “My god Chandler is like a clingy ex-girlfriend now”

Chandler signs a WWE contract

It is not ubiquitous to see UFC fighters cross over to WWE, however, Chandler is here to make an exception. In an Instagram post, he appeared to be meeting the head of the WWE, Triple H and teased collaborating with the WWE in his caption.

In this post, he appeared to be holding a WWE backpack and captioned his post, while standing next to Triple H, “Contract signed.” From his comments, it appears that something is brewing between him and WWE. Not to mention, this revelation comes after the WWE and UFC merger, so the likelihood of Chandler being featured in WWE is not entirely far-fetched.

Not to mention, Triple H shared a similar IG post, posing with Chandler, and wrote, “Anything can happen at a @tkogrp takeover. Great to have @mikechandlermma at #WWERaw tonight.”
