Admitting Matchroom Boxing’s offer to Davis, Hearn said, “There definitely is. But it’s just whether he wants to actually have a chat about it ’cause you know, obviously it was a big offer. With a lot of PPV bonuses. A lot of gate upside. I mean, could have made a lot of money.” Notably, with $10–15 million in guaranteed money and the share of PPV buys and gate receipts, the amount could have been tipped around $25 million.
However, it seems Davis has turned down the offer, but it doesn’t affect Hearn’s plans. “But I don’t know whether he wants to look into it in more detail or whatever, or he’s got other plans. But I don’t think it’ll be Gervonta Davis next, but doesn’t matter,” Hearn continued.

The only thing that remains is the decision on the appeal. “We’ve got a poll of probably 10 days who are big, realistic PPV fights for Conor Benn. We just wait now on the decision on the appeal, and that would determine where he fights next,” Hearn added.
The doping fiasco: a blessing in disguise?
The 27-year-old boxer can’t fight in the UK since BBBofC has revoked his license. Therefore, he has to fight on foreign soil, even if he wants to fight the likes of Chris Eubank Jr. It seems the failed drug incident has also done good for him.
