Ana Padurariu shined brightly at the Canadian Gymnastic Championships. 7-time NCAA champion UCLA Gymnastics team also took to its official X handle to applaud Ana Padurariu’s remarkable achievement, captioning the post as, “At Elite Canada, @AnaPadurariu3 recorded the highest beam score in her session, earning a 12.6! 👏🇨🇦.”

Ana Padurariu left the crowd in awe by making the record-breaking beam score securing 12.6 points. The Twitter handle, @cordeliagymfan took to delve into the scoreboard of the current Elite Canada event, posting “Elite Canada 2024 Sr WAG Session 1 results. Ana Padurariu competed for UB and BB in this session.” Belonging to the Gemini club, the infographic gives a detailed view into her score alongside other competitors at the 2023 NCCA Semifinals gymnastic event, she scored the season average on beam 9.826.

Apart from Padurariu, another UCLA gymnast Emma Malabuyo has also made her return to elite gymnastics. Alongside their NCAA accomplishments, the sophomore duo has been setting new goals and competing internationally in the offseason. Emma has excelled in her ascendancy in the floor finals at the Cairo World Cup, while Ana amazed her fans by clinching the esteem score at Elite Canada, chasing the dream to represent Canada in the Paris Olympics.
Coach McDonald reflects on Padurariu’s elite return

After Padurariu’s return proclamation, UCLA head Coach Janelle McDonald also took to share her routine. “Padurariu has been working toward returning to elite competition over the course of the 2022-2023 season,” he added. Padurariu formerly represented the Canadian National Team from 2015 to 2020, wherein she won a silver medal on the beam at the 2018 World Championships.
Apart from that, McDonald had also shared his supposition with her. “It was really cool to finish up the season and see her be in a place where she could really work for those goals again,” he said. Accompanied by her coach McDonald, she focused on training bars and delivered an impressive beam routine during the competition. This has initiated discussions to rejoin Canada’s High-Performance team.

With the world championships approaching and the 2024 Olympics on the horizon, Padurariu is motivated to bring more laurels.
